In a recent meeting with community leaders, the main doctor on our health team was told that besides from a permanent health clinic, education is the top priority for children in Masoud village. For years, children have had to walk 30–40 minutes through mountainous terrain to reach the nearest school, facing dangers from wild dogs and snakes. That school also failed to provide a proper learning environment, leaving their children without access to quality education.

Community leaders have urgently requested Compassionate Afghanistan and our partners to help establish a new school. If built, this school would serve children from Masoud village and four surrounding villages, providing safe and easy access for learning. The community stresses that their greatest need is a school that offers high-quality education in a secure and supportive environment.
